Who are the direct addressees of the Qur’an, either the people of Arabia as stated or all three groups of people such as the people of Arabia, Jews and Christians (A Further Exchange on ‘Authenticity of the Prophet’s Experience of Revelation’) or the people of the Book (Muslims, Jews, Christians). If all the three groups of people then did the Jews and Christian speak Arabic in those times. Please clarify. Thank you.
All those whom the Message of God was brought to in the Arabian Peninsula, including Jews and Christians, were the addressees of the Qur’an. Being in that locale they, Jews and Christians amongst others, too spoke Arabic.
I hope I have clarified the issue.
God knows best.
