I have read your article and am intrigued. Unfortunately, I did not pick up exactly what you  were trying to say...are you saying that Allaah is above the creation or are you saying Allaah is everywhere???? Please clarify for me Inshallah.

Also, as regards to the Throne....is Allaah above His throne or is it a metaphorical sense??? Again please clarify.

I am extremely sorry, if there is any ambiguity in my writing, but what I have implied in my article is that none of the verses referred to by Mr. Katz tells us about the physical whereabouts of Allah.

I have not given any of the two statements. For in my opinion, none of the verses referred to by Mr. Katz implies either of the two statements. I should like to clarify here, that the article does not present my view regarding the omnipresence or otherwise of Allah, it is to clarify the correct meaning of a few verses which were wrongly interpretted and thus found to be mutually contradictory.

I believe that the word "Throne" has been used in the Qur'an, with reference to Allah, only to imply authority, government, control etc. I cannot say that such is a metaphorical meaning of the word "Throne". But it most certainly is one of the idiomatic usages for the word "`arsh" in the Arabic language.
