Question
A few weeks ago i was watching an islamic show mentioning and stressing the fact that every muslim- Woman & Man, have to do something for Islam. What can we do as muslims to have said that we have done something for islam? Whats the least we can do and whats the maximum? You can say that its up to everyone to weight what they can do and just do it- it is very easy to do something good for a muslim, for a group of muslims or an institution, but it isn’t easy to do something for the whole religion of islam, please if you have any idea on what to do- it would be very pleasing and may allah reward you inshallah with his peace and blessings. I also, would like to ask you to send me the links to the information regarding the optional fasts and its blessings, because i cant find it anywhere. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
Answer
If one strives to do anything for Islam, first and foremost, they should build a relationship with the Almighty. The entails so many things that it would not be reasonable to state them here but will reveal themselves and one progresses in this relationship. Another thing one may want to consider is to educate themselves and have a good grasp of Islamic teachings. Coupling the closeness with God and the enlightenment one achieves will lead to a purified heart and endearing soul. In fact what more can one really ask for than a good Muslim struggling to maintain his or her religion and being an example to the community? You do more for Islam when you follow its path than you can fathom. You will be Islam in the flesh presenting yourself to the world around you.
I hope I have clarified the issue.
God knows best.
