Inheritance For A Handicapped Brother

Question
What is the ruling of a handicapped brother inheriting from his deceased brother with no sons?

Question from Egypt
Answer
The deceased was well within his rights to leave his brother whatever he desires - after all debts and other responsibilities have been paid. However, assuming he left no inheritance and had no children then the same principle for children would then be applied to the siblings: male gets twice the amount of the female.

For more on this matter please read the following: Understanding the Law of Inheritance of the Qur'an

I hope this helps.

God knows best.
