Many people criticse the Qur’an by saying that its so fantasy style and unrealistic. Like stories of talking ants, sun moving around a cave, Sulaiman’s army of men, jinn and talking birds, a dead man being hit by a piece of dead cow meat and coming to life by it etc. They say that these incidents are so ridiculous they belong in a children’s book. What is your response to such criticism? Please. Tell me. I wish to know.
Only a child’s mind would perceive the “stories” in such a way that the “critics” have presented. It is obvious that they do not have a most basic understanding regarding any of the mentioned matters and thus put forward a list of a rather deficient understanding. As such a simple-minded comparison to children’s stories is not worth an academic response when in fact an actual presentation has not been made. If you wish to present us with the “critics” material we would be happy to help you with a reply. Thus, their point of view that you have quoted is not any sort of criticism but more of a puerile engagement of the Qur’an.
I hope this helps.
God knows best.
