A Clarification Regarding Surah Al-Faatihah

This is with respect to "The Opening Chapter of the Holy Qur’an".

We pray Allah to set us on the straight path 'ie' the path of those on whom Allah has blessed and showered his mercy.

Now there is a question that who are those fortunate ones, who have earned Allah's blessing and followed Allah's path.

Please list them so that the concept is clear.

The Qur’an has not given an exhaustive list of the individuals that fall in the three groups mentioned in the final verse of the referred Surah of the Qur’an. In fact, if you would look closely, you shall see that there is no need to determine the exact individuals or to make an exhaustive list of the individuals who qualify for each of the three groups mentioned. The verse is simply a supplication for guidance to the path of those people – whomsoever they were – who qualified, on the basis of their true faith and pious deeds, for the mercy and the everlasting bliss of the Almighty. This group obviously consists of the prophets of God, those who sincerely submitted to the call of these prophets, those who bore witness for God’s truth (even by giving their lives, if the times so required) and the pious.

I hope this helps.
