Question
I have already a seen a post about a Muslim man marrying a Christain woman, and that he is allowed to do so, But if that woman is not Christian, and is she is a Wiccan would he be allowed to marry her? And if so, how would would the children be brought up?
Answer
Wiccan beliefs do not correspond to Islam nor to the religions of the people mentioned in the Qur’an as being allowable for marriage. Even if one takes the most monotheistic interpretation of Wicca, the fact that a god and a goddess is united in one entity their beliefs cannot be counted among the People of the Book. Although there is no direct prohibition in this regard we can surmise that a Muslim should not marry a person of the Wicca faith. This should not be understood as Islam looking down on another belief system but rather viewed that Islam wants to protect the harmony of the family unity.
I hope I have clarified the issue.
God knows best.
