Sadaqah is a more general term implying charity. All kinds of charities, whether obligatory or supererogatory, are generally covered in this term. Zaka’h, on the other hand, is, generally, used for the obligatory Sadaqah only.
Yes. The Qur’an has, in fact, used the two terms as synonymous and interchangeable at some instances.
