Question
I am interested in the same question, however I noticed that the question was not answered. Can you please elaborate on who those ten companions mentioned by name were as well as what source this comes from. Please comment on reliability and authenticity of those sources as well. Do Shiite recongize the same? I understand you may not be able to answer this question, but would be great if you can!
Answer
As I have already stated, the most reliable, authentic and agreed upon source in this respect is the Qur’an, according to which all those who pledged allegiance to the Prophet (pubh) at the time of the Hudaybiyyah were given glad tidings of God’s goodwill and pleasure. No other source is absolutely clear of the possibility of error. As for the Shiites’ recognition, please refer to a Shiite scholar.
