1948-2025 La Nakba continues: it is urgent to act for the protection of the Palestinian people
Seventy-seven years have passed since the historical disaster-NAKBA-suffered by the Palestinian people between 1947 and 1949, and more precisely at the time of the creation of the Israeli State on May 14, 1948 by decision of the United Nations. Terrible years when 80% of the population has been expelled from their land and dispossessed of their property. Nearly 600 villages and districts of the Palestinian cities were destroyed and 31 massacres of civilians took place including those of Deir Yassin and Tantura; Some 800,000 Palestinians have been expelled to the West Bank, Gaza or the neighboring countries to become refugees while tens of thousands were moved within Israel, also losing their property and their land. The expulsions, the theft of land and goods have become the assumed rule and the law of the strongest imposed the colonization of settlement and replacement with the complicity of the international bodies.
For 77 years, despite resolute and multifaceted resistance, the Palestinian people have undergone the oppression of a state which ostensibly violates international law and respects no resolution.

Since March 2, 2025, after a two -month truce during which Israel has attacked the West Bank violently, the Netanyahu government has broken its commitments and resumed its daily attacks against the Gaza population. He intensified them from March 18, in a tragic series of bombing that spares nothing and anyone. There have been more than 2,000 dead and 5,000 injured since that date.
Worse, perhaps, more criminal, Israel uses the weapon of hunger against the 2 million Palestinians who try to survive Gaza. It is a war crime. It is the responsibility of the States to put an end to this injustice and these crimes that persist. They must imperatively go to acts. It is necessary to put an end to the impunity enjoyed by Israel for 77 years. This involves immediate sanctions: the suspension of the association agreement between the European Union and Israel, the end of any security and military cooperation, the immediate cessation of arms sales to genocidal and a diplomatic and economic embargo.
States must require and obtain the immediate stop of the genocide in Gaza, the emergency entry of humanitarian aid and the end of ethnic cleaning in occupied West Bank.
In addition, France and the EU must fully support the current investigations of the International Criminal Court as well as the procedure against Israel introduced by South Africa before the International Court of Justice.
