A Lizard Fell On Me

May 12, 2011

Question

Assalamu Alaikum….
My Question is,
If LIZARD fell on the head or any part of the body, comes any harm or any problem.
if fell, what i do? what says ISLAMIC SHARIYAT about this? pls give the answer based on ISLAMIC SHARIYAT.

Answer

We are not sure what the context of the question is. So, it will be assumed that this is in relation to the beliefs regarding lizards falling on people. Thus, if you are referring to the superstition that a lizard falling on a person brings good or bad luck then I can assure you that there is nothing in Islam that supports such a notion. The Shari’ah (Islamic Law) does not address this superstition in specific but Islam in general is opposed to all forms, especially those that deviate the individual from God’s path, of them.

I hope this helps.

God knows best.
