A “Stop the genocide” banner in Bilbao, a shocking display in Montmartre, support for Palestine is essential everywhere!
It spreads and is emulated in the four corners of the globe, it seeks to provoke bursts of conscience on all grounds, in all arenas, under the windows of the Eurovision of shame, in front of the indigestible signs of McDonald's and KFC , to the steps of the White House, Cannes, prestigious Universities, and even on the balcony of the Italian Parliament, unwavering support for Palestine and the tortured population of Gaza is evident everywhere!
In Paris and Bilbao, at the top of the Montmartre hill as well as on the green lawn of the San Mamès stadium, this Saturday, May 25, was punctuated by two major pro-Palestinian solidarity actions, striking in many ways.
If the first was distinguished by a shocking scene in front of the Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur, Mecca of world tourism, the second created the event during the highly anticipated final of the UEFA Women's Champions League between FC Barcelona and Olympique Lyon, by deploying a banner on which appeared in full: “Stop the genocide” and “EU don’t be complicit”.
It is an understatement to say that the unfailing support for Palestine caused a sensation on this Saturday at the end of May, the eve of a new abominable massacre perpetrated by Israel against a Palestinian refugee camp, near Rafah.
