Gaza: Genocide in real time and guilty silence denounces the CFCM

The French Muslim Culse Council (CFCM) denounced a situation of “genocide” in Gaza, accusing Israel of pursuing a policy of deliberate famine and collective extermination. In a press release, the organization deplores the inaction of the international community in the face of what it describes as “Collective punishment”evoking children dying of hunger and humanitarian access blocked for weeks.

“What we see today in Gaza is a genocide. A genocide filmed in real time, perpetrated with impunity”says the text. The CFCM describes a population “Locked up, deprived of access to care, water, food, and subject to incessant bombardments”. He denounces a “chilling, accomplice or resigned silence”on the part of the great world powers.

The CFCM calls for France and the European Union to “Act with courage”by recognizing the state of Palestine, by suspending agreements with Israel and imposing sanctions. He warns against the consequences of a silence which he deems accomplice, recalling the universal principles of human rights and international law.

The association also castigates what it considers a moral and political break on the part of French leaders. She believes that the double standard between the defense of Ukraine and silence on Gaza weakens France’s credibility on the international scene. Finally, the CFCM claims that this humanitarian crisis, broadcast in real time, engages everyone’s responsibility. He urges citizens, elected officials and institutions to get out of resignation and require immediate measures to put an end to that he describes as a “Profilled barbarism”.
