On LCI, General Yakovleff denounces a “stupid” Israeli response in Lebanon, facing Darius Rochebin taking up the Israeli narrative
During an exchange on LCIthe general Dominique Trinquand Yakovleff sharply criticized Israel’s intervention in Lebanon, calling it “completely disproportionate.” In front of him, the journalist Darius Rochebin insisted on the responsibility of Hezbollahrepeatedly taking up the Israeli narrative on the generalized presence of the movement within the population. “It’s stupid. Darius Rochebin then interrupted him to recall that “it is Hezbollah that is shooting”, adding that the Shiite movement would be present “everywhere”, with “hides and HQs” scattered in civilian neighborhoods. According to him, a war must pursue a clear and proportionate objective, which would not be the case in this offensive. He also considered that this escalation paradoxically serves Iran’s interests: “The Iranian regime wants disorder, carnage and chaos… and it is the Israelis who are going to do it. »
