Giesbert pours out his hatred against Zohran Mamdani, and accuses the Jews who voted for him of “mental degeneration”

Guest of Frédéric Haziza’s show on Radio J, Franz-Olivier Giesbert has once again sunk into hatred and Islamophobic obsession. Faithful to his customary excesses, he affirmed that the election of Zohran Mamdani, a young elected official of Ugandan-Indian origin and a practicing Muslim, would be proof of “the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in the West” and “the mental degeneration of a large part of the population, including the 38% of Jews who voted for him”
This kind of comment is not only infamous, it is despicable. Franz-Olivier Giesbert does not debate: he accuses, he defames, he essentializes. In his mental universe saturated with fantasies, any Muslim person automatically becomes suspect, dissimulator, potential terrorist. Believing, praying, expressing one’s faith – this is already, for him, “practicing taqiya”, that is to say lying to better infiltrate society. This is the well-known mechanism of state and stage racism: we no longer judge facts, we attribute intentions, we condemn without proof. It’s all about smearing, caricaturing, fueling fear. And all this, quietly, on a national broadcast, without the slightest contradiction. This outpouring of religious hatred, pronounced in the cozy comfort of a Radio J studio, is unworthy of public debate. Giesbert does not express an opinion: he distils poison.
