More than half a million pilgrims already arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025

The preparations for the HAJJ 2025 are in full swing in Saudi Arabia, where more than 504,000 pilgrims have already arrived, according to a statement from the Ministry of Hajj and Omra published this Sunday. Among the faithful already present, around 493,100 have arrived by air, 10,100 by land and 1,400 per sea. This figure represents approximately 36 % of the total visas issued for this Hajj season.

The first pilgrims began to flock to Mecca and Medina from April 29, corresponding to the 1st Dhul Qada in the Islamic calendar, marking the official start of the season. This year, the Hajj should take place from June 4 to 11, 2025, subject to confirmation by lunar observation. The ministry praised the effectiveness of the systems put in place at the various Kingdom’s entry points, ensuring a fluid and coordinated reception thanks to an integrated organization and optimized services.

In a series of messages broadcast on its social networks, the ministry sent a warm welcome message: “Welcome, hosts of the all-to-see. May your stay be pleasant. »» The authorities also recalled the importance of having an official permit to fulfill the Hajj, an essential condition for guaranteeing access to services and living a serene and well -supervised pilgrimage.
