Morocco: in Tangier, a popular march against the docking of Israeli ships

In Tangier, thousands of Moroccans demonstrated on Sunday August 3 in the direction of the port of Tangier Med to denounce the docking of Israeli ships, suspected of transporting military equipment to Israel. Responding to the call of the Moroccan Front to support Palestine and against standardization, the demonstrators have brandished Palestinian flags, portraits of figures from the Resistance, and signs condemning the current genocide in Gaza and the famine imposed on its population by Israel.
The slogans castigated normalization with Israel and pointed out international complicity in the face of what the organizers called “genocidal war”. The sit-in, organized near the port, intervenes in a context of increasing tensions between the Moroccan street and the kingdom’s foreign policy. The government has not, for the time being, made no official comments on the docking of these ships.
