Netherlands: the Koran, odiously desecrated in August, handed over to the Turkish ambassador in The Hague

Repared from the irreparable outrage inflicted on him, on August 18, by Edwin Wagensveld, the leader of the Dutch branch of the far-right anti-Islam group Pegida, the copy of the Koran, which had been furiously torn up under the windows of the Turkish Embassy in The Hague, has been meticulously restored.

After having been reduced to shreds by one of the leaders of European neo-fascism, during yet another filthy provocation, this renovated copy of the Holy Book was recently delivered by hand to the current Turkish ambassador in the Nederlands, Selçuk Ünal.

The honor went to Salih Arslan, the president of the association of mosque Mimar Sinan, whose anger tinged with worry has still not subsided. And for good reason !

“ Our greatest wish is that such despicable acts never happen again. We are aware of the importance of freedom of expression, but we want these hate crimes and insults against our people, our society, our country, against the entire Islamic community and all countries of the Organization of Islamic cooperation will not happen again in the future “, solemnly declared Selcuk Unal in an interview with Anadolu news agency.

“ After repairing this torn copy of the Quran, we will not forget this disrespectful act. We will keep it within our embassy »he added.

Carefully healed from its wounds, the copy of the Noble Quran, odiously desecrated in a land where tulips but also multiculturalism flourish, will now be preserved in a precious case.
