New York: Quran recitation resonates thanks to an Egyptian. A nice surprise for a Turkish tourist
While she was wandering the picturesque and noisy streets of New York, looking for unusual places and atypical encounters, the urban stroll of a Turkish tourist had a very nice surprise in store for her.
Not believing her ears, as she approached a small restaurant, a modulated sound that was familiar to her became more and more perceptible: no, it was not the fruit of her imagination ! It was indeed the chanting of the Noble Quran resounding through loudspeakers installed by the owner of the establishment.
Both intrigued and enchanted, this Turkish tourist immediately became acquainted with the man to whom she owed an incredible surprise. She had one question in mind: is it legal?
In her video which went viral and broadcast by Al Jazeera, she reveals that the Muslim restaurateur, who arrived from his native Egypt five years ago, is never as happy as when the recitation of the Koran resonates in his neighborhood and in the ears of all passers-by. And the happiness that this gives him, every day that God makes, is well worth paying the daily fine of 50 dollars imposed on him.
Unanimously praised on social networks for his initiative, certainly daring but considered most laudable, this Egyptian who fills bellies and nourishes souls on the other side of the Atlantic now has all the recognition of a woman: a Turkish tourist, whose search for the unexpected was wonderfully fulfilled in the heart of New York.
