Night of horror in Gaza: Palestinian refugees burned alive by Israel, including Shaban, 19, who ended up as a human torch

Trapped by a devastating fire in the middle of the night, while sleeping in the makeshift tent he had made with his own hands, Shaban, 19, died a horrible death Monday evening in the humanitarian zone of Al-Aqsa hospital, in the center of Gaza: he ended up as a human torch in the blaze of Deir al-Balah, after being filmed begging for help with a desperate wave of his hand, under the helpless and terrified eyes of other Palestinian refugees.

His screams of pain mingled with those, heartbreaking, haunting, uttered by dozens of other families from Gaza, all burned alive in the absolute horror of the seventh barbaric Israeli attack on this sanctuary hospital compound.

The unbearable martyrdom of Shaban, this eldest son of five children who was the pride of his family, of this young computer engineer with a bright future, of his loved ones and his companions in misfortune, all devoured by the murderous flames of Israel, ice of fear, as it culminates in the unspeakable.

Let us never forget Shaban, nor the thousands of other Palestinian martyrs in Gaza, victims of Israel’s genocidal barbarism, of Zionist barbarism with an inhuman face. Let’s keep them all in our prayers.
