Pilgrimage to Mecca at the heart of a major congress in Jeddah

An important international forum on welcoming pilgrims will be held in Jeddah in mid-January 2024, under the patronage of the Saudi authorities. This major meeting will bring together delegates from 87 countries to discuss improving reception services.

The event will mobilize more than a hundred experts and managers around 47 round tables and 50 workshops. Discussions will focus on the modernization of infrastructure and innovation in supporting visitors to holy places.

A 50,000 square meter trade show will allow 280 companies to present their technological solutions, particularly in terms of artificial intelligence, to optimize visitor reception.

The previous edition saw the signing of more than 200 partnerships and attracted more than 100,000 participants. Registrations to participate in the event are open on the official website of the event. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s modernization strategy, which is investing massively in infrastructure for welcoming pilgrims. It also reflects the kingdom’s ambition to become a major technological hub, by integrating artificial intelligence and digital innovations in the management of large religious gatherings.
