Presidential election: nearly 46% of Muslims would consider leaving France if Marine Le Pen was elected

According to an Ifop survey carried out for Marianne46% of French Muslims surveyed would consider settling abroad if Marine Le Pen won the 2027 presidential election. Among all Muslims surveyed, 20% said they would “certainly” leave.

More than eight in ten also fear an increase in attacks and discrimination against them. These legitimate concerns notably echo the National Rally’s project to ban the veil in public spaces. This initial perspective also concerns 44% of people of Jewish faith interviewed and 43% of La France insoumise voters. These figures express declared intentions in the face of a possible victory for Marine Le Pen.

Behind these numbers, there is real fear. Due to hostile speeches, discrimination and controversies targeting their religion, many Muslims no longer feel safe in France. Islamophobia weighs on their daily lives, to the point that some consider leaving their own country. This is where the relentlessness leads: citizens end up considering exile in order to live in peace. Those who fuel this hostility, trivialize it or give it a platform every day bear a heavy responsibility. Creating in French people the desire to flee their own country: this is the result of their determination. And they dare to call it patriotism.
