The Israel-Premier Tech team was briefly stopped this Wednesday, August 27, during the team time trial in the Vuelta, in Catalonia. Surprised, some runners had to set foot on the ground before leaving a few seconds later.

This spectacular but understandable action recalls a substantive question: why does Israel continue to benefit from international sports visibility, when he commits a genocide in Gaza, multiplies the colonies in the West Bank and imposes an apartheid regime? When Russia was excluded from competitions after the invasion of Ukraine, Israel continues to be spared. For many activists, it is time for the world of sport to cease to close their eyes and applies the same consistency.
