Rage and frustration: BHL does not digest the ceasefire between Israel and Iran

This morning on CNews, Bernard-Henri Lévy let his frustration explode. The media philosopher, goes to the professional war, unconditional support of the Israeli army and zealous defender of the current genocide in Gaza, did not support the announcement of a cease-fire between Israel and Iran, revealed by Donald Trump. Again, BHL warmly thanked the American president for strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. This Tuesday, change of tone: “What am I getting involved? Who is it to order a ceasefire?” he fulminates, as if peace was a personal insult.
The rage oozes in his words. Lévy, who has been parading for years on the sets in the name of democracy but still alongside the Israeli canons, seems overwhelmed. The war was for him a boon, a hope: to overthrow the Iranian regime, sow chaos, redraw the Middle East under Israeli hegemony. The ceasefire is a humiliation for him. He counted on a prolonged conflict, on massive strikes, on destruction – he only obtained a truce.
His defraded mine betrays the disappointment of a man who dreamed of blood and ruins to serve a geopolitical agenda disguised on a moral mission. Listening to it, it looks like it cries the end of a colonial project interrupted too early. Sad puppet of blind militarism, this philosopher without thought or compass does not digest that peace can sometimes prevail over the missiles.
