Sébastien Chenu, spokesperson for the RN: “We propose to abrogate the agreements which bind us to Algeria”

In the aftermath of the overwhelming victory in the European elections of the ambitious Jordan Bardella, it did not take long for the RN to set the highly deleterious tone of the electoral campaign with all the dangers that lie ahead.

It even started this morning, at the microphone of RMC/BFMTV, through the voice of its spokesperson, Sébastien Chenu. Completely delighted to have outdone the oligarch of the Elysée and to have obtained the dissolution of the National Assembly, the megaphone of the heiress of Papa's National Front is reiterating the good old recipes of the uninhibited French far right… Recipes with the bitter taste of a neo-fascism which does not (yet) say its name: stigmatizing Islam, Muslims, but also Algeria.

Words, oozing revanchist neocolonialism, that Jean-Marie Le Pen, the infamous founder of the FN and executioner of French Algeria, whose racist and Islamophobic attacks we remember, but also how much he loved seeing the Waffen-SS and other shaved heads appear in family photos…

By dint of having flattered the basest instincts of France for more than forty years, of having used and abused the pernicious strategy of scapegoating, the penalization of minds is, alas, no longer a chimera. This is the harsh and overwhelming reality of the country of human rights… or at least what remains of it!
