The Al-Aqsa mosque destroyed in a rigged video: Sight reactions from the Arab world

A wave of indignation shakes the Arab world after broadcasting on social networks of a video generated by artificial intelligence, relayed by Israeli pro-colons extremist groups. This assembly depicts the destruction of the Al-Aqsa mosque in East Jerusalem-East, replaced by the “third temple”, accompanied by the provocative slogan: “Next year in Jerusalem, the Messiah now”.

The Al-Aqsa mosque, the third holy place of Islam, has long been a major point of tension. For many Arab countries, this video constitutes a direct incentive to religious hatred and a serious threat against the status quo. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees it as a “systematic incentive to attack the Holy Islamic and Christian places”, also denouncing the silence of the international community in the face of the “racist and expansionist” ambitions of the Israeli government.

Jordan, an official guardian of the holy places in Jerusalem, firmly condemned this diffusion, qualifying the content of “hateful and extremist”. Qatar also reacted strongly, condemning any attempt to attack the blessed mosque of Al-Aqsa. Doha warned that such provocations may make the situation more degenerate in the occupied Palestinian territories.
