When support for Palestine, fervent and daring, appears on American academic stages, during the traditional graduation ceremony, it has the face of committed, intrepid young students, who take advantage of their place in the spotlight to play spoilsport for a good cause.

At Columbia in particular, one of the most prestigious and selective universities in the world, these indignant students, some of them, appeared on stage brandishing the standard of Palestine, scarves or Palestinian keffiyehs around their necks, while others others, hoisting their handcuffed hands, completely tore up their beautiful, brand new diploma.

Or how to break with an immutable ritual to better protest against Washington, against the octogenarian tenant of the White House, but also against the investments of their own university in arms companies, all having blood on their hands: that of more than 35,000 Palestinian victims of the appalling genocide in Gaza.
