Trump would consider arms embargo on Israel if war continues, says Arab Americans for Trump president

Bishara Bahbah, president of the Arab Americans for Trump organization, told the Times of Israel that Donald Trump could impose an arms embargo on Israel if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ignores his call to quickly end the war in Gaza. The statement, made at an election watch party in Dearborn, reflects a possible break with traditional U.S. military support for Israel.

Bishara Bahbah stressed that Trump would have the influence to pressure Netanyahu to stop military operations. He says Trump has evolved profoundly since his previous terms, after several meetings with Arab-Muslim leaders. This relationship with Arab communities could influence his decisions in the Middle East if he returns to power.

However, Trump’s speech remains ambiguous, oscillating between calls for an end to the war and indirect support for Israel’s crimes. Bahbah believes that the former president remains committed to peace in the Middle East, although he has in the past used terms perceived as offensive by the Arab community. This development could prove crucial in his foreign policy, although doubts remain about his true intentions.
