Washington sanctions Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur and critical voice of the genocide in Gaza

The United States, assumed sponsor of the current massacre in Gaza, have just crossed a new red line: sanctioning Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories, guilty of saying at high what international law affirms-that a genocide is underway, and that Israel, with the active support of the United States, is the author.

It was Marco Rubio, head of American diplomacy, who formalized this decision. With grotesque accusations of “support for terrorism” and “anti -Semitism”, he tries to dirty a respected lawyer, whose only weapon is the truth and the law. His real crime? Having dared to recommend prosecution against Netanyahu and his accomplices, including among American leaders and companies.

True to her role as an unconditional ally of Israel, Washington once again shows that he does not tolerate any independent voice, even less when she defends the rights of the Palestinians. When justice disturbs, the United States crushes it. But Francesca Albanese is good: “I stand firmly and with conviction on the side of justice,” she said. Behind the sanctions, it is an ice message: to denounce a genocide exposes you to the repression of the powerful-especially when this genocide is funded, armed and covered by the United States.
