If the treatment of parents is not fair to all children, not fair, but too partial and baised, not just-breaking the sibling’s apart and away from parents, should one still keep quiet in respect of them, or can one let them know.
The Qur’an has directed us to remain polite and submissive in dealing with our parents. The word used by the Qur’an in this respect is “Ihsaan”.
Being polite and submissive does not, in any way, negate that one should try to politely inform one’s parents of their mistakes and imbalances. But the important thing that should always be kept in mind is that the basic motivation of informing one’s parents of their mistakes should not be to get even with them, but to help them correct their attitudes and to remove imbalances from their lives… and thereby help them succeed in the life hereafter, the real and eternal life.
