An advisor to Argentine President Milei brandishes fear of Islam to claim the Falklands

A Muslim MP elected in the United Kingdom, and here is an advisor to Javier Milei who cries “colonization”. Santiago Caputo, close to the Argentine president, presented the election of Sagal Abdi-Wali, a Briton of Somali origin, as the sign of a country “colonized by Islam”. An accusation that transforms a democratic result into a religious threat.
The reasoning goes further: this alleged Islamization would be an additional reason for Argentina to claim the Falkland Islands. The link? There is no serious evidence to establish this. But the fear of Muslims serves here as an argument in a territorial conflict between London and Buenos Aires. Javier Milei himself relayed the publication on X. The Argentine president thus gives echo to a speech which presents the presence of Muslims in British institutions as a danger.
The Argentine president, an ultraliberal who has slashed public spending, particularly pensions, is also a fervent admirer of Donald Trump. Attacking Muslims will not give back to the Argentines what it took from them. Behind these comments, an openly Islamophobic contempt: a Muslim woman can be British and elected, she will remain, in Caputo’s eyes, a foreigner who “colonizes”. These so-called defenders of freedom clearly cannot support the fact that a Muslim woman can benefit from it.
Santiago Caputo returned to Malvinas 🇦🇷🇬🇧 The Presidential Council affirmed that Argentina must recover the island because the Reino Unido “is its colonized by Islam” and advirtió sobre el peligro para la cause de Occidente 👇
