Algeria: 34 people killed in an accident near Tamanrasset
At least 34 people were killed and 12 others were injured in a collision between a bus and a vehicle on Wednesday near Tamanrasset, in the far south of Algeria, about 2,000 km from the capital Algiers.
According to civil protection, the accident followed by a fire occurred around 4 a.m. near the village of Outoul in the west of the region. Victim extraction and evacuation operations continue. Most were burned alive according to several local media which broadcast images of the bus in flames.
