Anti-Muslim terrorism: 16 ultra-right thugs will appear in court

They planned to poison halal food or “kill 200 radicalized imams”, the 16 would-be assassins of the underground group called Action of the operational forces (AFO) will not escape justice.

The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (Pnat) recently requested a trial before the Paris Criminal Court for che formidable thugs of the ultra-right – 13 men and 3 women, all already placed under judicial control – suspected of having planned, between 2017 and 2018, violent actions against Muslims in France. As it echoes France info, they are mainly suspected of terrorist criminal association. They were indicted in 2018.

They are accused, to varying degrees, of having planned attacks against Muslims, such as looking for weapons, to use the women of the group, hidden under niqabs, to poison halal food in the supermarket with a component of rat poison…

Among the many targets mentioned in their disastrous plans were: “kill 200 radicalized imams“, target the rapper Medina or the preacher Tariq Ramadan. In a document, the particularly active Ile-de-France cell of AFO, “clearly evoked the storming of a mosque” from Clichy-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine) whose door was to “explode” and which could be surrounded by “long-distance shooters”, details the public prosecutor.

Most of the 16 accused, aged 37 to 74, have a military background or have expressed an interest in the army. In this fine line-up of sinister characters, moved by Islamophobia at its peak, there is an antique dealer, a night teleoperator with G7 taxis, a human resources consultant, a diplomat posted to the French Embassy in El Salvador, a restaurateur, craftsman, accountant, unemployed person, high school teacher…

During the numerous searches carried out at their home in 2018, an impressive arsenal of firearms and thousands of ammunition were discovered, as well as elements used in the manufacture of TATP-type explosives.
