At 17, this genius Muslim inventor impresses the world of robotics

HAS Birmingham, Suleymaan Khan17 years old, is a young Muslim inventor passionate about technology. From the age of six, his parents noticed that he was different: he did not watch cartoons and spent his time creating objects with paper, cardboard, adhesive tape and scissors. One of his first projects was a cardboard candy dispenser that actually worked. As a child, he also made gadgets inspired by his superheroes, such as a cardboard confetti launcher to imitate Spider-Man. At age 10, he began teaching himself programming through videos on YouTube, including C++ and Python, and began creating robots.
Over the years, he developed increasingly advanced projects, including a robotic hand controlled by gestures. Built with simple materials for around 30 pounds, this invention has attracted millions of views on TikTok. Today, Suleymaan helps students from all over the world and happily shares his knowledge. At 12, he designed his first humanoid robot, Pepper, from recycled parts, Lego and cardboard. This project allows it to win a national prize in 2023 Big Bang Fairwith the support of Network Rail. Suleymaan is now training in robotics. He wants to create robots that are useful in everyday life and, later, develop more accessible medical prostheses.
