I recently viewed the movie, “House of Sand and Fog”, and in the movie there were two scenes where it was stated that they should be careful not to get blood on the floor. Could you please let me know what this implies?

From an Islamic perspective it means nothing at all. It may be a cultural or familial thing. It may also be a superstition someone had.
