Usually in Pakistan the name of the bride is changed by replacing her father’s name with husband’s name. Does Shariah has any objection on that?
Answer
Under the Shari’ah (i.e. Islamic Law) a woman has the right to keep her name or change it as she pleases. Hence, there is no objection to the said situation.
