Hi my friend’s wife was a former christian and converted to islam before marriage to my friend. Now she wants to convert back to christianity. I am very afraid not knowing what happens to people who do this. Also, please advice if the marriage is still valid? please reply in private. worried sister.

Any person that leaves Islam knowing the Truth that it is will have to answer to the Almighty and to whatever punishment is meted out. However, if in the first place, the woman converted to Islam faithlessly then she only deceived herself and those around her. Nevertheless, the marriage is still valid.
