Gaza: the martyrdom of Samaah Jamal Na'im, the dentist with a big heart who recited the Koran by heart

Among the countless Palestinian lives that have been crushed, struck down, decimated by Israel's exterminating fury, in the immense open-air cemetery that the devastated enclave of Gaza has become, the tragic end of a young mother , known for her devotion, her exceptional faculties, her human qualities and her professional skills, aroused deep emotion.

Fully fulfilled and accomplished, endowed with an impressive capacity for memorization which, from her early childhood, allowed her to recite the Koran by heart, the affable and very pious Samaah Jamal Na'im, 31 years old, fell to martyrdom in January last, in Deir al-Balha.

United with her family even in a terrible death, she thought she was safe, inside her house, when a rain of Israeli bombs fell cowardly, mercilessly on her home, causing carnage.

A dental surgeon by profession, this devoted wife and caring mother of a little boy Taysir whom she cherished tenderly, and who, alas, is no longer in this world, took no pride in having finished first in her promotion ontodology, nor being gifted at learning languages, notably those of Molière and Goëthe, but also Turkish and Hebrew, the idioms of which she mastered perfectly.

The late Samaah Jamal Na'im relieved her patients' ailments with passion, kindness and empathy. Generosity made a woman, it was not uncommon for her to provide free care to the most deprived among them, who expressed eternal gratitude to her during her lifetime.

Inconsolable since this fateful January 6, 2024, when she died at home, with several members of her family, many of them are mourning today the dentist with the big heart from Gaza, who doubled as an outstanding memorizer of the Noble Quran .
