Genocide in Gaza: in 22 countries, dockworkers at 113 ports called to block weapons for Israel

According to the organizers, dockworkers from 113 ports in 22 countries are called to mobilize this Friday, October 30 against the transport of weapons to Israel. Supported by more than 25 trade union organizations, this day of strikes and demonstrations aims to denounce the genocide in Gaza and support the Palestinian people.
From Tangier to Genoa, via Le Havre, Marseille-Fos, Hamburg and Piraeus, dockworkers want to transform their solidarity into concrete actions. They denounce the use of civilian ports to transport weapons to war zones and call for preventing these shipments from passing through their docks.
In Italy, the mobilization joins a general strike against war, rearmament and the high cost of living. In Livorno, the unions announced a mobilization in all terminals. In Spain, a two-hour work stoppage is planned, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., in ports of general interest. The true extent of the disruption remains to be established. But the mobilized workers display a common desire: to no longer participate in the delivery of weapons likely to fuel the destruction of Gaza and the attacks against its population.
