Israeli settlers celebrated Hanukkah by stealing Palestinian-owned olive crops
A video from Yesh Din, an Israeli human rights organization, shows that “Dozens of settlers celebrated the Hanukkah holiday by stealing harvests from Palestinian-owned olive trees outside the village of Awarta, southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank. After the theft, escorted by Israeli soldiers, the settlers proceeded to cut down several trees.”
Hanukkah is the Jewish Festival of Lights. The faithful pay tribute to the victory of the Jewish people against King Antiochus IV Epiphanes, which occurred in the 2nd century BC.
