Paying Charity

September 14, 2005 by Admin

Question

How to pay charity from the amount of income? I have recieved the fees of Rs.1500 from a tution that I give to a student, I want to know that how much amount from Rs.1500 can I pay as charity to poors?  Is this amount sufficient enough for charity or the amount should be more than Rs.1500?

I hope my question is clear.

Answer

If Rs. 1,500 is the only income you have, then there is no obligatory charity that you have to pay on this amount. However, you may pay any amount as supererogatory charity, if you desire.
