Question

Christians believe in anti-christs. Do we muslims believe in that? Does Al-Quran tell anything about this? Did Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) say anything about this? Please give me details regarding this.

Answer

There is nothing in the Qur’an about the notion of Anti-Christ or Dajjal. As such, believing in this notion cannot be considered as an essential part of Muslim belief.

We cannot say if the Prophet (PBUH) has said anything about Dajjal for the simple reason that we were not present at the time of the Prophet. However there are a number of ahadith narrated from the Prophet (PBUH) referring to Dajjal in some of the more reliable sources like the collections of Bukhari and Muslim.
