Saudi Arabia: Six interactive cards launched to guide pilgrims from Hajj
While Hajj’s preparations are in full swing, the Saudi authorities have unveiled six interactive cards to facilitate the movements of pilgrims in the holy places of Islam. These cards cover Mecca, the Great Mosque and its surroundings, as well as the sites of Mina, Mouzdalifa and Arafat.
The objective of this initiative is clear: fluidifying traffic, reducing congestion and ensuring better security throughout the pilgrimage. Accessible on various digital media and available in several languages, these tools are part of the modernization of HAJJ services, carried by intelligent technologies.
This modernization is also accompanied by a reinforced effort on the ground: security agents, volunteers and medical staff are deployed in large numbers to supervise the faithful and respond to any urgency. By combining physical infrastructure and digital tools, Saudi Arabia seeks to offer pilgrims a more serene, safe and organized spiritual experience, in particular during the moments of strong crowds. To date, nearly 962,000 international pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia, mainly by air. The authorities have mobilized multilingual teams and automated systems at the entry points to manage this massive flow and guarantee an optimal reception.
