Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez calls on the European Union to suspend its association agreement with Israel.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez strongly denounced Israel’s attack on Lebanon, which he described as “the harshest since the start of the offensive.” This new escalation left at least 250 dead in a single day, adding to an already heavy toll of more than 1,500 victims. In a message published on X, he accuses Benjamin Netanyahu of “intolerable contempt for life and international law”. Faced with this intensification of strikes, the Spanish leader calls for “speak clearly”. It demands that Lebanon be fully included in any ceasefire and calls on the international community to unambiguously condemn what it considers a new violation of international law. Pedro Sánchez goes further by asking the European Union to suspend its association agreement with Israel, considering that it is no longer tenable to maintain privileged relations in such a context of massive violence.
Just like that, Netanyahu attacked Lebanon harder than ever before preventing the offense.
Your desperation for life and international dereliction are intolerable.
Toca hablar claro:
– Lebanon must form part of the high flame.
– The international community must be recognized as…

He also insists on the need to put an end to all impunity in the face of what he describes as“criminal acts”.
This position contrasts with the inaction and ambiguities that dominate within the European Union, by clearly pointing out the responsibility of the Israeli authorities in an escalation of extreme violence. Following the accusations of genocide in Gaza brought before international courts, Israel is accused of multiplying war crimes with complete impunity and of once again not respecting the ceasefires. As the human toll continues to rise, the absence of concrete sanctions looks more and more like a political guarantee.
