Trump’s Gaza Peace Council: Guillaume Ancel criticizes organ that covers Netanyahu’s crimes.

The writer and former French officer Guillaume Ancel sharply criticized on Franceinfo the “peace council” put forward around Gaza, which he accuses of serving as political support for the continuation of the war led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “The peace council is not even a joke. It’s terrible”declared the former soldier, denouncing an initiative which, according to him, masks the reality of the fighting on the ground.
“There are 100 deaths per month currently in Gaza. Daring to say that there is a peace council when there is not even a ceasefire, it is indecent”he said. “What do you call a situation where you pretend there is a ceasefire but you continue to kill every month? It’s called war.” Guillaume Ancel directly accuses Benjamin Netanyahu of continuing his offensive under diplomatic cover. “Netanyahu continues to wage his war but now it is covered by a peace council,” he said. “He makes peace with bombs.”
The former officer also rejected Israeli announcements on the elimination of Hamas cadres, believing that they are more about communication than an effective military strategy. “Israeli services boast of having killed the new leader of the armed wing of Hamas. Except that there is no longer an armed wing of Hamas, there is nothing left in Gaza.he said. Very critical of international authorities, Guillaume Ancel also denounced what he considers to be a bureaucratic and financial drift of the system. “The donations made by certain members are clearly used today only to pay the team supposed to manage this peace council”he accused, believing that this structure “takes money to live well by doing nothing for Gaza”. “We diplomatically dress up a war that continues”the former officer further affirmed on France info.
