In Ivry-sur-Seine, the Annour mosque distributes 2,500 meals every day to the most deprived

In this blessed month of Ramadan, solidarity is being organized throughout France. In Ivry-sur-Seine, the Annour mosque mobilizes every day to help the most deprived by distributing nearly 2,500 daily meals. The Oumma team went there to meet La Haja Soraya and the many volunteers who support her in this solidarity initiative. Every day, from the early hours, they work to prepare thousands of meals for people in need. Once ready, these meals are distributed just before breaking the fast, allowing many families and isolated individuals to break their fast with dignity.

This initiative is open to everyone, including young people, people who do not fast, as well as non-Muslims, in a spirit of fraternity and sharing faithful to the values of Ramadan and living together. The Annour mosque, which defines itself as a mosque open to the world and at the service of society, ensures the financing and organization of this daily distribution.

On this occasion, the president of the Annour mosque, located at 40 rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Ivry-sur-Seine, also presented to us the project for the construction of a future cultural and religious institute, which should soon see the light of day. An ambitious project intended to strengthen the educational, cultural and spiritual activities of the mosque.
