RAMF 2026: the great return of a historic meeting, between spiritual renewal and collective affirmation

After seven years of interruption, the Annual Meeting of Muslims of France (RAMF) returns from April 3 to 6 at the Bourget exhibition center. An event eagerly awaited by thousands of faithful, which marks a new stage for one of the most important Muslim events in Europe.
A long-awaited return after seven years of absence
The last edition of the RAMF dates back to 2019. Since then, the absence of this large gathering had left a void in the Muslim religious and associative landscape in France. Requested on numerous occasions by the faithful, the Muslim Federation of France (MF) acknowledges having been hampered in recent years by a lack of resources and availability.
But in 2026, the conditions seem to be ripe to relaunch this emblematic event, which is celebrating its 40th edition this year. A return that aims to live up to expectations, in a context where Muslims in France express a growing need to meet, exchange and recharge their batteries.
A new impetus under the direction of Makhlouf Mamèche
This relaunch is part of a new dynamic driven by Makhlouf Mamèche, at the head of Muslims of France since November 2025. The new president shows his confidence in the future of the federation, despite a sometimes hostile climate.
In recent years, MF has in fact been the recurring target of campaigns calling for its dissolution, supported by the far right and certain political movements. A pressure that Makhlouf Mamèche puts into perspective:
“The real question is not whether MF will disappear – some have been predicting it for 40 years – but rather who wants to see it disappear. Isn’t it, ultimately, the visibility of the Muslim faith, its organization and its institutionalization in France that some would prefer to see disappear? »
The president recalls that the federation still has solid assets: committed human resources, recognized skills and significant territorial roots.
A rich program between spirituality, knowledge and commitment
Faithful to its DNA, RAMF 2026 will offer a dense program, designed for all audiences.
At the heart of the event, the spiritual dimension will occupy a central place, with conferences, religious reminders and moments of contemplation. But the RAMF is not limited to this aspect: it also aims to be a space for reflection and dialogue on contemporary issues.
Speakers, researchers and scientists will be present to discuss various themes: society, ethics, education, civic engagement and even the challenges of living together.
An event for all generations
The RAMF also focuses on an inclusive and family approach. A youth center will offer activities dedicated to young people, promoting commitment, creativity and the transmission of values.
A family center will offer spaces suitable for parents and children, in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
In addition, numerous exhibitor stands will be set up throughout the show. Visitors will be able to discover a wide diversity of products: books, clothing, crafts, food products, services linked to the halal economy… so many actors who participate in the structuring of a rapidly evolving Muslim economic ecosystem.
A unifying moment in a sensitive context
Beyond its program, the RAMF appears to be an essential moment of gathering in a context where Muslims in France are often faced with tensions and recurring debates about their place in society.
By recreating this meeting space, Muslims of France intend to promote fraternity, strengthen community ties and offer positive visibility to an organized, anchored and forward-looking Islam in France.
After a long wait, this 40th edition promises to be a major event, placed under the sign of spiritual renewal, the sharing of knowledge and cohesion.
A return that goes beyond the simple event framework to be part of a broader dynamic: that of a community in search of meaning, structure and recognition.
The Annual Meeting of Muslims of France (RAMF) finally makes its grand return from April 3 to 7 at the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Center, to the great delight of the faithful and expected numerous visitors.
